Did you Notify the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education yet? If not you must do this.... goto State of North Carolina - Non-Public Education After that is done and you receive a card from them showing the child is now home schooled..
And You now need to get books. For the past couple of years I have bought all my homeschooling books through homeschoolstockroom.com, but there are several other sites to buy from.

Good Luck

I homeschooled my children but in middle school went with a private school...Keystone National High School.

They are accredited and have a monthly payment plan, whew! Just pick the courses and they can either mail you a box w/ all the books and workbooks or do it online.

We did the box w/ books and workbooks. It's self paced and my daughter started college at the age of 15. She started Keystone in the 8th grade (9th grade level of books) and just worked everyday except Sunday and Christmas. By the holidays she completed everything and started the 10th grade.

She's in the military now- at age 17 w/ a degree.

But this was my experience. I'll help you out any way I can but it really is up to the student if homeschooling will work or not.

Wolfeyes and Vegas, do you know anyone with a web site here in the Triad personally involved in homeschooling? I like to have such a link on my web site (real estate) to help people out. Can you suggest anyone?
