Forest Oaks
Forest Oaks is located off HWY 421. It is a mix of new and older homes. What specifically would you like to know?

The original part of Forest Oaks is/was a country club community. The golf course has hosted PGA tournaments for many years. While carrying a Greensboro address, the area is technically outside the city limits in southeast Guilford County.
We used to live a short drive south off of old 421 in Julian. The schools in the area are decent, if you need information on that. I will say, there was a bit of "snob appeal" associated with the Forest Oaks residents; somewhat of either you are in, or you are out.
Are you looking for a neighborhood, or a nice house out in the county? For our money, we would rather be outside the Forest Oaks area, but that is just us. Post more of what you are interested in and I am sure others will respond.

Thanks so much for the info. Just wondered if it really existed! Realtor.com had it coming up as Greensboro. Looking for some retirement areas in NC. Have been to Greensboro and like it, but not a whole lot of acreage with the houses listed. Thanks again.

Make sure that if you buy a home in Forest Oaks, they have paid the assessment to hook up to city water and sewer- otherwise, you will be paying it yourself! And it isn't cheap.
