Wow, at least it's not all in my head. I haven't had a date in 10 years. Don't know any single men. Link: Best and Worst Cities for Dating - Yahoo! Real Estate

Well, plenty of people do say that Greensboro is a great place to raise a family, and at least to some extent I have to agree with that. There just isn't alot of the kinds of things singles in their 20's (or 30's) would really enjoy doing all the time. There aren't a ton of bars, every great concert doesn't come here, and so on. But just 50 miles to the East and you're in Raleigh-Durham. I agree again, a much better mixed pot of interests. I think a lot of people come here with families and to raise families.

But, if I had to make the choice again, I would move to Raleigh with my family, crowded schools and all. The kids here think it's boring and they leave. I would love it if our family stayed in the same city, as well as the same state. My own family has been all over the globe! I have no childhood friends I grew up, no home town. I guess it all depends on what is most important to you...now and later. And I don't mean the candy!

Sounds like a stupid survey to me. Even Charlotte was rated as 1 of the worst. As many people as we have in Charlotte...if you can't find a date...it is your own fault...lol! There are tons of educated professional single people in Charlotte.

This list doesn't mean much and the methodology only takes into account a few things that MIGHT be related to dating. Having fewer bars, less in the way of lingere sales, and fewer really young kids doesn't necessarily equate to a poor dating scene. I agree that places like Austin and San Diego probably have good dating scenes. But places like Atlanta, Houston, and KC are probably getting a bad rap here.
