We are considering moving to Kernersville because of it's central location, but I noticed on one site there was a discussion of a highway cutting the town apart. I don't want to have an expressway in my backyard, what part of the city should I avoid house shopping? What part is most desirable? Is Kernersville and Town of Kernersville two different places? It sounds like one was annexed to W.S., is there any benefits or disadvantages to that? Our kids are grown so school districts won't matter, but police, fire dept., and trash pickup are things we want, so country living isn't for us. Although are health is great, good health care sevices are a consideration. We are a professional couple looking to retire and get involved in the community to keep busy and make friends. We and would love to volunteer at a museum. Is Kernersville one of those places we need to live 50 years before we are accepted? Please fill me in about the town. Thanks!
