Hey all,
I'm not from the area but for valentines day I was going to take my girlfriend to the zoo in Asheboro and I'm looking for a restaurant for afterwards. For restaurant I'm looking for something really nice as in formal dining. The girlfriend loves to wear dresses so I'd like to give her the opportunity to do so. I'm willing to probably drive anywhere up to an hour and a half from asheboro. Pretty open to all types of food. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

I don't know, but be prepared to change clothes or bring a change of clothes, walking around the zoo in a dress and heels would be no fun. It's a lot of walking, even if you do take the tram for parts of it.

I would suggest Flemmings on Friendly Ave in Greensboro. From the valet parking to the 'on the spot wait staff', to the fantastic food. And since the ladies love chocolate be sure to save room for the chocolate lave cake. Yum!

My suggestion would be Tuscany's on Sunset Ave in Asheboro. I believe you need to make reservations. I've heard from friends it's very romantic and quiet. Definitely a must for you and your girlfriend. The restaurant setting takes you back to Italy's quiet cafe setting.
