I just bought a 3 year old home in Advance. Propane gas for heat, tankless hot water, stove, and fireplace logs which we never run. Our gas bills have been $385, $310, and $430 for Nov, Dec, and Jan. (120, 105 and 150 gallons respectively)

Yes, something seems very wrong, unless propane is that much higher than natural gas. Especially for a 3 year old home with great windows and a low internal temp. I think you are doing the right thing by having someone check it. In MA for 2900 sq ft, we had bills up to $500 and over in Jan and Feb, but the temp was hitting 0 degrees for a week. We used natural gas there.

Sounds like you have a leak. A friend of mine had the same thing. That would be my guess.

Propane is outrageously expensive compared to natural gas or electric due mainly to the cost of delivery. If feasible I would suggest a switch to natural gas or convert to heat pump. Our climate really doesn't stay cold enough to warrant natural gas either.
