What is High Point like? The usual questions is it dog friendly? Do I have access to shops, places to eat, Starbucks, any sidewalks by chance Thanks!

Ah yes another thread about High Point.
Pros:
Nice people
Good parks
Family oriented
Easy access to other cities
Beatuiful downtown architecture
Mostly big chain shopping & resturants
Cons:
Run by the old money
Downtown off limits to those not associated w/ furniture market
Can't support its own mall
Lack of variety of activities for adults unless you engross yourself in kids baseball & soccer
Sidewalks minimal
No dog parks
Shopping & resturants mostly big chain (two Starbucks)
You may find yourself frequenting other cities to fulfill shopping dining desires.
I recommend reading other posts about High Point also.
