Hello we are looking to relocate from MA to NC. My son is now in 10th and attending a vocational high school up here for cabinet making. He loves it. I am looking for a high school down in NC around clemmons area that has this. Are there any Vocational high schools around that offer this? Please help me. I know the move will be hard on him, but if I could keep him involved in something he loves maybe it won't be so bad. Thank you.

WSFCS, has the career center, however, I don't believe cabinet making is among the trades taught. Career Center - Home (http://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/education/school/school.php?sectionid=129&sc_id=1186056626 - broken link) Davie county has vocational training as well it appears: http://www.davie.k12.nc.us/admin/views/vocation.cfm

In addition to ak's recommendations, you might consider Forsyth Technical Community College (Home - Forsyth Tech). They offer a construction/carpentry curriculum, and often courses are available for high school students to take at night or during the summer. To my knowledge there is no high school in the area that offers cabinet-making specifically, but if you contact the career center and explain your situation I'm sure they can steer you to the best solution that's available for your son.

Good luck, and if you have any other questions about the Clemmons/Triad area, please ask!
