I posted this to show that ALL people with charges deserve a real second chance but are not getting this because its more profitable for the government/state to keep them in the ''correctional loop." They pose all these so-called programs that are supposed to help ex-cons re-integrate into society, but they do nothing but blow smoke up your tail to make it look like they are trying to help. And what in the world is with pushing education so hard? Most felons acquire at least one, if not many different trades while incarcerated. Most of these men/women also have families to take care when they get home. While it would be great for them to be able to go back to school and further their education, how would they be able to concentrate on classes when they are more concerned with being able to stand on their own and pay their own bills; especially men. They have so many grants for returning to school, what about some grants for starting businesses; something that will put money into these people pockets, legally?

From some of the things I have seen within our justice system, we are no better than some third world countries; we just hide it better.

It sure seems strange that the hundreds of thousands of illegal hispanics here get to work and the people hiring them know they are law breakers yet no one stops it.........Then a citizen who has paid his dues for a crime is given a hard time.I SAY UNFAIR
