Hi everyone, I just moved to Winston Salem and looking to continue with my weight loss program. I am looking for a clinic or doctor that prescribes Adipex or Phentermine. If anyone is aware of one I would greatly appreciate the information.

Thanks in advance.

Hey buffee14,Did you ever find a doctor who would prescribe Phentermine? I have been looking to and am tired of hearing "I don't 'believe' in diet pills."

Default still looking

The closest one I have found is in Durham and it is extremely high! I have been on phentermine before and lost weight with it and exercise. After child number 2, I want to go on it again but can't find a doctor in Winston or G'boro that will prescribe it.

Any doctor can prescribe Fastin (aka phentermine). My sister gets hers from her family doc...but he will only let her do a month and then skip a few months saying it only works for about a month and then looses it's effectiveness.

Xenical is prescription strength Alli.

Both of these together might do the trick.

No diet is or pills are ever going to work long term.
You have to adopt a lifelong healthy eating pattern. This will improve your appearance and decrease your health risks.

May I ask what doctor she goes to? I had a baby 6 mos ago and would really like to get a prescription for the adipex. I took them about 5 years ago after I had my second son and it worked wonders. I just wanna get back into my clothes not looking to be a super model or anything

I'm going to catch hell for this, but may I recommend the office of Dr. Puttheforkdown? Adequate exercise and a balanced, sensible diet - that's all it takes, regardless of metabolism and genes. If you're already big, then just accept that it's going to take time (I realize that's a lot to ask in a nation full of gimme-gimmes who need instant gratification in all aspects of life).
My cousin was pursuing all the fads, pills and diets for a while, but then I did some research online and then compiled a new health regimen for her to follow. We made a wager - If she stuck completely to the diet & exercise regimen (limited fats, adequate carbs, lots of protein, plenty of water, no soft drinks, 5 small meals per day (with lunch being the largest), lower caloric intake, parking as far as possible from the store when shopping, crunches & push-ups (start w/20 of each per day), and taking a 30-minute walk every day)... IF she stuck to that and lost at least 30 lbs within a year, then she would buy me a First-edition of a novel that I'd had my eye on for months. If it was a failure, then I would pay to have maid service come to her house for a year. A year passed, she went from 215 lbs. to 130 or so, and I added a new book to my collection.
But now she's kind of a tramp, so I don't know that it was without its disadvantages.
