Smile Need help deciding between Clemmons and Winston subdivisions

I'm moving to Winston-Salem this summer and I'm interested in looking at houses in the Meadow Glen subdivision in Clemmons. I also like the Mountain View area in zone 5, but I'm having a hard time deciding between them. We are going to be house hunting in the area later this month
Can anyone help with some more information or opinions on these areas for me? I'd appreciate any info you can provide Thanks.

There's really not much difference in the two--both are in good school zones, and they're relatively close to shopping/restaurants/interstates. I think either would be a good choice.

Mountain View is a little closer in to downtown WS, while Meadow Glen will seem a little more remote (although you're still just minutes from WS). I prefer the area around Clemmons, but that's just my personal opinion.

You should just spend a little time driving around each area and see what you think. Good luck in your search!

Clemmons all the way!

You can NEVER go wrong with Clemmons...especially from a re-sale stand point. And you are only 15 minutes to downtown Winston-Salem and only 10 minutes from Hanes Mall area.

Good Luck!

I am also relocating to Winston-Salem this summer. I am moving to Clemmons mostly because it has a high ranked public elementary school that I would like my daughter to attend. Everyone I spoke with loves Clemmons. I have visited twice and it seems like a nice area. I'm moving from Atlanta, so I am still trying to deal with the small size of the city and places not being as convenient as they are in large cities. If you would like to research public schools in the area, schooldigger.com is a great resource.
