^ Stop it, you guys are making me want to sell my house and move back east! Gman, you are correct about Smithfield's not being as good as the tried and true eastern places, but for us who are stuck here in the barbecue wilderness that is western NC, it's not bad.

Mmmmm...Skylight Inn. Haven't been there in like 20 years, but it's an experience you don't forget!

haha, na Smithfield's isn't bad. I love their fried shrimp that they have. I haven't been in a while but thats what I get most of the time when I go. Crispy, Greasy goodness .

grizzman is on a distinguished road
Hersheys BBQ in Burlington is hands down the best in central NC. They also have excellent broasted chicken and some pretty good brunswick stew.
