Hi there - I'm a female - in need of a good hair salon - mid-range price (not SuperCuts, but not too pricey either!) We recently moved to Winston Salem and I need a haircut! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I wish I could help... I moved here 8 mos ago and cannot seem to find a salon that is reasonably priced! I've tried two places and both charged well over $100 for a trim and highlights! Hopefully, someone on CD will have some recommendations for us...

My wife goes to Panache, located on Hanes Mall Blvd. in the same shopping center as Firebirds Grill. I think they do a great job, at least on the rare occasions when I notice...

Don't know about pricey, but all the stylists at Legends seem to stay busy. It's located just off Country Club Rd. in the Gordon Manor area. I went to Allison there for several years before we moved to SC. She always did a good job cutting and coloring. She also does nails.

What is considered reasonably priced? I just got a haircut for $40, but I do believe with color would have been $110.

I drive an hour to get my hair done. Even if I found a good stylist in WS, the price I pay with gas is less than what it would cost me to stay in town. If you are interested in where I go, then pm me. So sorry to not be able to give you a local answer for your search. Good luck!

Hey all,
We moved here and I tried 4 places and was dissapointed in all 4.
utopiasalondayspa.net which is Utopia Salon and Day Spa was just great.
It also got good reviews and the prices were fine. I got tired of paying 100 plus dollars for color and cut. It is located in Clemmons plaza close to 421. I am sticking with them.

I was impressed with Silk Road Salon, which is in downtown (they'll validate your parking deck pass, which makes it even easier to get/in)

You can check out their place/prices: SilkRoad Salon & Spa: Life's Road to a Well Being in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Bumble & Bumble, Kiehl's
