I'm looking at an opportunity in Greensboro (I would be moving from Ohio)..Can anyone suggest some good places for a young professional to live. I've heard about CityView. I've also found some apartment complexes on W Washington and N Elm St. Are these areas safe?

Finally, is Greensboro similar at all to Charleston or Charlotte?

Thanks

Yes, those areas are safe. I would not compare Greensboro to Charleston or Charlotte. Charleston is a historic beach town while Charlotte is the largest city in NC. I think Greensboro and the Triad beats to its own tune.

There are many nice areas to live in Greensboro. It depends on what you are looking for or how much you're looking to rent a place for? Do you want to live closer to shops/malls? You might want to come for a few days and ride around some areas.
