Smile burlington nc

I recently visited many areas of north carolina starting with charlotte up to raleigh. Does anyone know what burlington nc is like to live in. I visited there and thought it was a nice town. Loads of department stores and a mall and 20 mins to greensboro and about an hour from raleigh. Is burlington a good place to raise a family? Is there much to do there?

My wife was raised in Burlington and her parents still live there. It's a nice town and convenient to both Greensboro and the Raleigh/Durham area. They have some nice neighborhoods, but home prices start to going up once you get east of Greensboro heading toward the Raleigh area (which is where Burlington is). For schools, Williams HS and Western Alamance HS are good. Other than a nice city park near downtown, there's not very much to do in town. My wife says they have the nickname "Borington". But, overall, not a bad place to live.

I'd have to concur with friendnc. I worked in Burlington for many years and had pretty much the same impression. I know that Burlington (and Alamance County in general) is known as a place for couples to live when one works in the Triangle and one works in the Triad. Burlington sits right in the middle.

Personally, I'd go one way or the other and either live in Greensboro or in one of the towns further East (Mebane, Hillsborough, Chapel Hill).
