I am relocating and have checked out Kernersville...loved it but can't decide whether to go with a new home or one of the 10 yr or older models that seem to have alittle more character. My husband worries about the usuals (plumbing, elec, roof), but I feel with a good inspection we should be ok.
What is your opinion? We're looking in the 200k range for older and 250-300 for new. Thanking you in advance for input

Default Branchwood Drive

I will say that the neighborhood across the street/hill from the fourth of july park is a well maintained neighborhood with quality built homes. I should know since that is the neighborhood we moved into around 1970 and still have contacts in.

This neighorhood has a community pool, park across the street, YMCA down the street and easy access to shopping.

Prices in this neighborhood can go from 150 up to 275.

Since I have been around this area most of my adult life, I have watch the growth of neighborhoods/homes. I have also noticed the quality of the newer homes going up with some in the higher ranges being of good/excellent quality. Lower end homes (around 110 - 150) do not have the up-scale products placed in them, but can be relative cheap to own maintenance wise.

But, to answer your question -- I much prefer the older communities around K'ville. If you need any additional information on this matter, please drop me a line.
