Need rec's for apartments (Burlington, Kernersville: apartment complexes, for rent, employment)

I just moved to NC and am currently living in Kernersville but working in Burlington. I would like to know what areas in between these two cities are decent and safe. I would like to shorten my commute time to about 30 minutes or less. Any specific apartment complexes would be appreciated. My husband doesn't have a job yet and his previous employment was at an FBO and there are a number of FBOs in the Triad area so that is why I'd like to stay somewhat near the area. Thanks for any help!

Fixed base operation. Basically, it is where private airplanes fly in.

You are going to have a hard time being approved for an apartment/house with no income.

They did ask for 3 month's rent up front though.


It was a nice place to live and reasonable - friendly staff and reasonable rules.

Kernersville is nice. Beware of the apartment complexes though. A lot of problems to say the least. Another thing to consider is that K-Vegas has the highest water and sewer rates and property tax rates to boot. If you are not familiar with property taxes in NC, this includes any vehicles you own so be prepared to shell out $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if you want to live here. Check out areas in county limit instead.
