I'm looking toward relocating to Greensboro or Winston-Salem in the near future (I will be making a trip down the week before Memorial Day to look at properties). Can anyone tell me of neighborhoods to AVOID in either community? I am seeking an older home...one with character...if possible. But I want to avoid bad neighborhoods (I know...that's kind of a given.) The one realtor I've talked to refuses to help with such information (claims she's not allowed).
I'd like to stay close to downtown, or at least near a populated area (though not necessarily in it.)
Also, if anyone can recommend a realtor who would be helpful toward me, even though I am looking at median priced houses and below, I would appreciate it.
We are moving to the Triad area in July and we LOVE our realtor. We have been down there once and he was just awesome with showing us around and his honesty. Maybe too honest for some people, but perfect for me!
I am familiar with WS. The West End and Ardmore areas are great old neighborhoods. You may PM me for a realtor's name.
