Confluence Coffee Shop, etc. in Winston-Salem (to rent, closing, eat)

Another new place that I wanted to mention is the Confluence Coffee Shop. It's a non-profit coffee shop. They've got free wi-fi/computer access, free conference rooms, LOTS of bands and other events for teens/families, indoor playground for kids, comfy couches w/ tvs, space to rent for parties/banquets/reunions, etc. They've done an incredible job remodeling the building, you can see how nice it is on their website.

Staff was friendly and food/drinks were delicious when we visited on Saturday

They need all the help they can get and public support. They are non-profit and on the brink of closing. They operate negative $3000 a month and almost had to close this Monday. I hope they can make it! Our community needs places like this, especially on the south side of W-S. It is a great place for moms. You can actually drink your coffee and not worry about your kids knocking over coffee displays because they have an enclosed play area!!

I thought this place was wonderful! I did NOT like the coffee at all..at least the drink I got anyway. Well worth the visit though...great place to bring the kiddos or teens to hang out and surf the web while they play Rockband or enjoy the indoor playground!

Maybe it was just the type that you got? Everyone was talking about some pumpking coffee?? I got a hot chocolate and it was like eating a candy bar! Yum! I had one of their smoothie type drinks that afternoon and it was good too.

It was very busy the day I went...I got a smoothy type coffee...forget the name! lol
