Can anybody give me a heads up on a good area to move to in Winston -Salem and surrounding areas.

We have two small boys 5 and 19 months- so I would like some info on neigborhoods and schools. Any information would be wonderful!!!!
We are very down to earth people who love nature ( the mountain areas has always been my dream to live)

Any kind of info- people, shopping, school, homes, crime etc

Thanks for the help!!!

Well that depends on what you're really looking for. Lots of land, new homes, established communities, good schools, near downtown, or something else? Winston-Salem has areas for everyone, but it depends on $$$$ and what you desire most.

Default Buena Vista Area

Does anyone here know anything about the Buena Vista area in Winston-Salem? In particular the schools?

Buena Vista is "THE" neighborhood in Winston. It is the oldest, most established, and probably the most expensive as far as homes. I don't know the statistics, but probably most of the kids in Buena Vista are in private schools. Reynolds is a good high school, but Reagan is the newest High School in Forsyth, and the Reagan School district is one of the fastest growing areas in the county. Here are the other schools in the BV area. And a link to find out more about them.
