I replaced the batteries in my Thermostat and the dang thing is STILL flashing low batt and the temp doesn't get higher than 68. This is my first house, I do not want to replace windows (we want to sell next year), and have a fire place. ANY tips on what could, one be wrong with the thermostat, heat etc. or two, make the house a little WARMER!! Yikes..I'm freezing and DO NOT want to have to spend big bucks on repairs!! Thanks in advance!!

I wish I could help - I know that must be frustrating. Are you by chance using rechargeable batteries? That could be the problem. I'd google the make and model along with some words like 'low battery' - you'd be amazed how many times somebody's already had the same problem. After that, I'd call the manufacturer. Hope this helps - p.s. Moderator cut: tos violation

You may have more than one problem. Check the battery contacts for corrosion & clean as needed. If that doesn't help you'll have to call a repair man
