What a great outlook!

Thanks for that...

Thank you! I am naturally more of a half-empty glass type of a person, so I get weak with my negative thinking when I am freezing cold or sticky with sweat and covered in mosquito bites!! Seriously, everything you have written I have actually told myself when I am feeling down or homesick. I know we have it better here even if I find the weather to be a challenge! I also remind myself about how great the spring and fall is in NC. I can't wait for spring.

Especially in the Western part of the state, it rarely gets bad.

I've been in SC and Mississippi, and both of those places were significantly worse, Mississippi especially.

It is bad when being in the shade feels the same as being in the sun because you are engulfed in a blanket of heat that is not escapeable. I prefer 110 degrees in AZ to 85 degrees here any day because at least there when you were out in the summer you could carry around a umbrella for constant shade and it didn't so bad, whereas here you need to be indoors more in the summer.

Im from Cali also, been here 2 1/2 years. At first the humidity was uncomfortable but you adjust, it is not that bad. I would rather be here then in Florida during Summer, or South Carolina for that matter.

I'm from Ca too but I don't mind the humidity at all. I like it better than the dry heat. I wouldn't call it oppressive. I went the Hong Kong and walked out of the hotel and my sunglasses fogged up, now that was humid!

I'm also from CA! And I agree, the humidity does not seem to be extreme at all... and the rain and resulting green in the Spring/Summer is worth it to me!
