How are winters in High point NC. Do we get lots of snow and ice. ? I am moving from Florida and wanted to prepare myself. Which parts of city get least amount of ice/snow and flooding.

"Lots" is very subjective. I would say the answer is no. High Point is geographically large enough to get significantly different amounts of ice/snow in different parts of the city. Flooding is extremely site specific.

Obviously, winters will be less mild than anywhere in Florida. Ice/snow is a significant issue by Southern standards usually 2-4 times a winter, sometimes more, sometimes fewer. Areas north of High Point can sometimes get significantly more snow than areas to the south, but areas to the south are a bit warmer with less snow, but warm enough that they have "wintry mix" issues with freezing rain being a bigger hazard and risk for power outages.
