I am a graduate student of education looking for a summer camp job. There are so many listings online, (I have applied to several places for 2 years with no real feedback)

can anyone narrow it down to good ones or happen to know people that I should get in touch with?

thank you

Bur-Mil Park in Greensboro runs a busy day camp during the summer. right now it probably just shows openings for counselors right now, but as a grad student you could probably run/help run the thing. exhausting, but probably a good bullet point on the resume. it's a beautiful park, typical kids and all that.

the YMCA of Greensboro also runs Camp Weaver, which is a big facility for their summer camp, and a couple of the Ys in town run day camps during the summer, as well.

a friend of mine worked at one in West Virginia last summer, though i don't remember the name of it.

I don't know the exact name but there is a national association of sleep away camps. You could probably get a list of accredited/member camps and start sending resumes. Unfortunately, a lot of camps hire the girls/boys that attended that camp when they were younger. Good luck.
