i live in rural NC near asheboro and i'm having the hardest time in the WORLD trying to locate an asian market/grocery store. at first i thought there was hope when google found a local "asian grocery" on north fayetteville st., but as it turns out this store has been turned into a middle eastern grocery store.

I need to find a local asian grocery store that stocks both dry ingredients and fresh vegetables. I have located a few asian grocers online that carry almost all of the products I'm looking for, but the shipping is outrageous. If anyone knows of a asian market in the triad area, please let me know.

thanks a bunch!

Dont know re: Asheboro, but Charlotte has Lotte and another one in Pineville. Lotte is better as the food is more fresh. Even our local grocers are starting to carry Daikon and some other good veggies...

Kampai!!!!

Default Well, it's better than nothing

After all this time, I figured I'd post back to report that although I never did find a store selling the items I was looking for around here, I DID find a nice place to buy fresh food. It's called S&L Natural Foods. It's in the same shopping center as Something Different.

They have a lot of stuff you can't find anywhere else around here and the prices are reasonable. So far, the quality seems better than Lowes Foods and Walmart. The selection is kind of small, but it's a small store.

I have no idea if this existed back when I posted in 07'. Oh well.
