He had a thirty-year history of sexual exploitation of children while serving as pastor and high school baseball coach throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
There are far more instances of Protestant (non-Catholic) pastors committing child abuse and sexual deviancy than priests but since other faiths are not lumped under one umbrella as is the Catholic Church, it isn't so easy to point fingers.
He was also volunteering with the Glenn High School baseball team in Kernersville. Being a church leader, while volunteering at the local high school was his "modus operandi".
Either way, Protestant or Catholic, it is a shame that people can give Jesus a bad name for those that don't know Him. It isn't religion or God that's bad, it is the people who "represent" Him doing bad things that make God/religion/Jesus look bad. Very unfortunate and sad indeed! Thank goodness our hope is not in man as we all fall short of God's goodness.
