Don't you mean "what are the suburbs of Greensboro"? A state is not generally said to have suburbs.

It's a vague question, but this might help you get started.
Technically, most of these are not really "suburbs" (and some are certainly exurban), but I think this is more along the lines of what you want, because the true suburbs of Greensboro are primarily areas within and just outside of the city limits.
Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Browns Summit, Stokesdale, Jamestown, High Point (though they'd hate to admit that), Colfax, Kernersville, Pleasant Garden, Climax, Julian, McLeansville, Sedalia, Gibsonville, Forest Oaks, Whitsett.
These are incorporated and unincorporated communities that are convenient to Greensboro. The search can expand further, well into the areas of Burlington and Winston-Salem (Alamance and Forsyth counties), as well as Stokes, Randolph, Rockingham and Davidson counties. There are communities in all of these areas that are easily accessible by way of worktime commute, and a search through this forum will yield plenty of opinions on which areas are best for raising young kids.
