It looks like we will be moving to the Winston-Salem area within the next few months and would like to know where good places to live with the best school districts would be. We have elementary school-age and middle school-age children. Any advice is welcome...Thank you!

Thank you for the response. We're moving from the United Kingdom (retiring from the military) so I'm sure we're going to have a lot of adjustments to make.

You should look into Clemmons, Lewisville, Pfafftown (western parts of the county). We live in Clemmons & we love it. You can find out more about the schools at NC School Report Cards and
Forsyth County Schools Schools
Hope this helps. BTW, I have a friend at church from Manchester. I would be glad to get you connected so maybe she can give you some recommendations to help with the transition. She's been here a couple of years now.

Another great area to check is around Sherwood Forest, more "in-town". The elementary and middle school zone there has some of the most sought after schools in our district.
