I just moved here from Los Angeles for a job. The relocation company put in in a corporate apartment at Legacy at Twin Oaks. The apartments are on Hilltop not far from the Adam Farm entrance.

I have been here for about 3 weeks and all seems quiet nice and the complex is very new. Today I decided that I will continue renting here and they are giving me a brand new apartment that has not been lived in.

You may want to check these out.

How might I be able to get hooked up with a relocation company? I would assume that relocation companies reputation depends on their ability to get people into places that are safe and of high quality for the area and maybe they could help me find what I am looking for??

The relocation company services are employer paid, at least in my case.

The only one of these I have any first-hand experience with is Steeplechase at Adams Farm, and they seemed nice. I would think a one-bedroom would be within reach of your price range.

Mebane is too far if you'll be mostly in Greensboro or Winston-Salem. Since you don't know which direction you'll need to drive (east to Burlington --about 30 minutes from GSO depending on traffic-- or west to Winston --also about 30 minutes), I'd probably recommend Adam's Farm because it's close to I-40 and it's a nice area. I've always lived in NW Greensboro (which is a nice, very safe area but further from the interstate). If you knew you would be staying in Greensboro, I'd recommend the Northwest area because it's a short commute both to downtown and near the airport and there are a lot of businesses in these areas.

Lake Brandt Apartments and Brassville are in desirable safe areas of Greensboro!
