Greer is a suburb, but it sure covers a lot of territory and is VERY different depending on what part of it you visit. For instance, not far from the historic downtown part of Greer are some small, older homes, some of which are very run down. Then you've got Thornblade over near Pelham/85, which is a gorgeous and pretty pricey area. I live in between the two near Hudson Corners and feel like I'm close to everything. I'm literally 2-5 min. from groceries stores, banks, gas stations, restaurants, dry cleaners, fast food, etc The airport is 12 min. from my door, and I can be in downtown Greenville in less than 15 min. Countryside and beautiful places like Lake Robinson are also only minutes away. I love living here in Greer!

Well, I guess my preference is smaller town and as few neighbors as possible. Ideally I'd like to live on an acre or more of land in a house or trailer and be like within 45-30 of a big city. I like the Greenville area, but I might have to move toward a bigger town like Myrtle beach, or near Charlotte for jobs. But i still want to live in a small nice community outside the city.

Have you considered Travelers Rest, or some of the other small towns around Greenville? We have property 5 miles north of TR, and it's definitely small-town, yet less than 1/2 hour to down town Greenville.

Housing prices are generally the same.

Myrtle Beach is not nearly as large as Greenville, nor does it have the number or diversity of jobs that Greenville has.

I live in Greer ( City of Greed) and would move to Simpsonville. The city adminsitrator has bullied the news media to promote many false positive opinions of the city.

There are good things about Greer, but the Greed needs to be removed for it to return to a fail and level playing field.

I have Dump Driggers ( the City Admisnitrator) Bumper Stickers available to those who sign the petition to remove him.

Housing prices should drop then climb as The City of Greed promotes the development of Low Income Section 8 housing to benefit some of the local entrepreneurs. (the government guarantees payment of rent)

The City of Greed is determined to provide more low income people to fill these housing units by selective business practices and using a disbarred lawyer to write condemnation orders and annexation documents (Imagine, someone so sleazy that not even lawyers want to include him).

The idea is to ghettoize a portion of Greer so that land values in other sections will go up. A local police motto (I have heard it several times) is "make *them* move to Simpsonville (cut yor competitions throat by moving out the citizens who built Greer)

I think they are also working to rape the government by horning in on a %% million train track relocation. I think the track will stay as it is and that they will try to get more money to start a light rail / commuter train station.

Someone named Baldee is really working on buying up properties and apparently ATT is helping him out by adding large fiber optic services to a section of Trade Street. (Wonder why a real estate developer needs massive data lines..oh yeah he *was* in the telecommunications business) I look for the City of Greed to subsidize his efforts to get the crumbs form his table

I think the new motto of the city of Greed is "Only the rich and socially and morally misguided are desired"

Candidates who wish to replace the current Mayor, " aka The Retard" are encouraged to get in touch so that I can decide who I will back and will provide campaign silk screen signs at cost.

I also engrave ammunition (with your choice of the name) and provide "toe tags" for particular city employees.
