Asheville NC I heard has been described as either Paris or San Francisco of the South. It seems they have plenty of arts and culture. It may be a bit colder than what you wanted, but it's not a whole lot colder than Greenville. It's north of Greenville about 60 miles. (cooler because it's about 1000 feet higher)

Yes, those pesky religious people! But I'm a little confused. Wouldn't going somewhere where there aren't "too many religious folks" negate one of the main ideas of progressivness, tolerance, and inclusion; being around others different from you with a good mix of ideas? SF and NYC surely don't fit the bill. Neither do some "religious" place that think if others don't buy their line of thinking, the town's going to hell in a hand basket. When we say we're "tolerant" or any of these other words that seem to be a bit overused, we need to look in the mirror and be totally honest with ourselves. Most of us come up short at times. I think it's a daily task for all of us. But let's not lie to ourselves and others saying we're something we're not. Be honest, listen to others, and realize that you can befriend someone without nessisarily agreeing with them on every issue.

Hey Friend,

I like the way you think! Not very many words, but it says SO much.
