Just saw this on the evening news! Rough renderings of the new terminal/ticketing areas, with some background info on the thought process and intentions behind the look they're going for. Lots more glass & lots of wood & stone accents - just EXACTLY how I was thinking it should be!

Looks fantastic!!! Exactly the type modern feel I had hoped for, but yet still giving a nod to the mountainous Upstate region through the design.

Very nice.

Yeah, that looks great. I can only hope that some of those design touches make their way outside in the form of curb appeal. Something else GSP desparately needs, especially since we will see an increase in travelers coming in from outside of the market.

Default GSP Already Becoming More Competitive in the Region

As the man said, "One small step..." This is EXACTLY the kind of thing GSP should be doing (and should have done long ago) to make its entire package more competitive by the time Southwest arrives next year... GSP International Airport To Change Parking Fees | WSPA

However, contrary to this story, GSP's own Facebook post says that daily parking rates are also going down - from $10/day to $8/day, so this looks like a true win/win.

$8 a day is a great deal IMO. You aren't likely to beat that anywhere unless you park way away and walk or take a time-consuming shuttle.

Westchester County Airport in New York charges $27 a day for parking. And that's your only option! Yikes!
