Default Community Theatre?

One of my many hobbies is community theatre: non-professional amateur acting. In my research, I've found several groups around the Upstate, and I was just wondering if any of you have been to shows. Were they any good? Does it seem like community theatre is growing or fading in the area? Here in FL there are about 20 theatres in our area, some of which put on truly professional quality shows. One of the few things I'll miss....

You should be very happy living in Greenville then, if theatric performance is an interest. There are numerous theatres right in downtown alone, and others around the metro area. Overall, I would say that the Arts (both visual and performing) are definitely growing. People around here sincerely embrace the appeal of multicultural art. If you're able to make it up, check out the Buddy Holly play at Centre Stage South Carolina. I saw the previous edition and can assure you it is worth the time.
