Default Regional Medical Systems

Generally they are not bad in my experience, though if you need a specialist in some areas such as neurosurgery, you are better off seeing if you can't go to Charlotte or Columbia.

God help you though if you don't have insurance, their collections departments (according to most of the poor I have talked to) can be quite aggressive.

Emergency Rooms can be be very crowded and slow on the weekends, with people needing attention waiting several hours. (gee, I used to think that only happened in Canada)

Zero crime rate in downtown...Just move here...that Zero will keep me here. As well at the list below:

Great water Falls in the middle of downtown.
Town is shaped like a triangle and easy to get around.
Very festive with night time X-mas parade.
A small area or town called Holiday off of North Pleasantburg has X-mas light show 30 min of driving and all you see are fields of X-Mas lights....WoW!
Many resturants in downtown, with great looking upgraded buildings.
East and North side of town a little upper scale but with great purchasing prices.
West and South has great homes as well with many handy man special properties, great prices for flipping and a enterpenuer dreams for starting out in real estate.
Great temps, your lowest can be the 30's but can rise up to the 70's. Your cold season can be maybe 6 to 8 weeks. But if mother nature is here, we will be at a comfortable 50 to 70's in temp.
Once you come and visit the Reedy Falls Park in Downtown, you are sold! You must see this park in the day and night.
Hotels - Great area, Savanna Suites off of North Pleasantburg. Also Quality Inn, on South Pleasantburg.
City is not far from the mountains.
About 1 hour from the NC and Georgia borders.
Many stores like Best buys, Circut City, Burlington Coat Factory, Publix, Bilo, Sears $1 stores, Walgreens & CVS ect...
Greenville Tech is Large....with many large campus sites & buildings... if your looking for part-time or turtoring just to stay in tune with Society.
No hanky Panky around campus streets or in downtown, No teen hanging on corners drinking or selling drugs....
Oh and downtown has a NO crusing ordinance...meaning no cars can be going slow with passengers acting cool with the radio on blasting. Fine is $500.
This is a safe tourist City, because of Reedy Falls Park...
D.O.T. is well organized and prepared for snow days...
Oh can't forget to mention, I don't have to bag my leaf's, you sweep them to the street and they vacume them up.
Municiple and Government Building located on the same street a few minutes from downtown, in great looking Buildings.
Cemetaries are very colorful with flowers, large, neat and clean.

My overall opinion...this City is well organized, is clean, downtown is great with trollies that you can ride for free. This is a must see City. Calm, quiet, & safe...
For more info go to Greenville, South Carolina Home Page
Google SC history and discover that King Edward donated SC to what General....?
check out the history of Reedy Falls park...dating back the 1800's, 1900's & 1940's.

I'm 48 and looking forward to making this my retirement city.

Hope this helps & Good Luck
