I've looked around SC posts but I don't see a thing about that area. Figured Spartanburg or Charlotte would have something but I guess if so it must be many pages back in the searches I did. Heck, I know folks there that have computers but I guess they haven't discovered this site yet...errr maybe they have been there so long they could care less - I dunno. Just curious...
Well, Gaffney is a fairly small town with a large amount of poor/uneducated people sadly. That's probably why you don't see many if any posts regarding that area.

The few people that do post about Gaffney DON'T live there. To be fair, I don't live there either. True, Gaffney is a small city but I've found folks there very friendly and proud of their town. Gaffney has struggled of late economically but not everyone is "poor and uneducated".
I'm sure if you want to learn more about Gaffney information is readily available from other sources including the old fashioned way of picking up a local newspaper (The Gaffney Ledge) or checking out the paper's e-site.
A major reason for there not being a lot of posts on Gaffney is because (like a lot of other small towns in SC) it is not generally a destination for transplants. But when looking at the quality of life of the Upstate as a whole, Gaffney shouldn't be overlooked, if not simply because it offers the only major outlet shopping in our region. I know Prime Outlets--or the "Yellow Mall"--is a very popular shopping destination for folks living in Spartanburg County and elsewhere.
And where else can you live in the shadow of the great Peach Butt and live off of peaches and strawberries?
