The QT at Pelham Rd and Boiling Springs Rd is looking close to completion. I live in this area and can't wait for it to open. Downside is I think it will be very busy and hard to make left turns out of the property onto to either Boiling Springs or Pelham due to the traffic at that intersection.

The Wawa is also a great convenience store. But the local market here is likely saturated with QT, Spinx,
7-11, Kangaroo and others.
I love Wawa and would love to see them here, but I've heard a similar story that they have an agreement not to expand into each other's territory. The only state south of Virginia where you can find a Wawa is Florida.

Wawa is indeed an excellent convenience store. And they are now expanding aggressively in Florida, with stores in Orlando, Tampa, and soon Miami. But not sure if they actually have a no compete agreement with QT, but it could be possible. Although the Carolinas and Georgia markets may already be saturated with QT, Sheetz, 7-11, Circle K and Kangaroo. Although perhaps Wawa could consider expanding into Raleigh-Durham, as QT currently has no presence in the Triangle. And the northern part of NC is closer to Wawa's current territory in Virginia.
I think Sheetz is better than Wawa! I'd love a sheetz in Greer!
They have frozen yogurt and gourmet coffee drinks, smoothies and milkshakes! And all kinds of food! Burritos, pizza, wings, burgers and healthy options too! And always clean bathrooms and just a great all around snack selection!

I live on Boiling Springs Road and can't imagine any more traffic than we already get. Although I will still get my gas for the most part at Costco, it's going to be great having the QT there for many reasons. I agree, though, that getting in and out is not going to be easy!

I was told today that the CEO of QT sits on the Wawa Board of Directors. So perhaps their is some sort of non compete agreement indeed. And apparently both chains share a similar outlook regarding nice stores and good customer service. Both are managed very well.

Wonder what will happen to the BP just a few yards away.
I live on Pelham Road and would hate to see oit turning into a Woodruff Road.
Still prefer to get my gas at Costco at 6.30 AM on way to work
Gas stations in the Pelham Road trade area will likely follow suit in lowering their prices, or they will shutter.
