Default Article on the Greeville food scene

Really good article on Greenville's food scene. The title is excellent: "Taste of Travel: Utopia Discovered" So nice to see Greenville referenced as utopia.

LOVE that the author was so enthusiastic about the city/food scene, but Girlfriend should have checked a few facts/spellings before publishing!

Totally agree. The foodie scene here is great, but that article! Sheesh.

I don't know where to start with this sentence:

"By 1769, the Devereaux House became the first home in the area that is a good drive from Atlanta, Ga., and less than an hour from Charlotte, N.C."

Didn't know you could drive here in 1796. And Charlotte, even now, is not less than hour away.

And imagine.....that article was written by someone from the north, not one of us "dumb" Southerners.

Of interest in this thread is At the Chef's Table Culinary Tour, scheduled to happen tomorrow between 1:30pm and 4:30pm. It sounds like a great opportunity at a reasonable price! <More information (http://www.greenvillehistorytours.com/culinarytour.html - broken link)>
