Question Greenwood,SC?

Hello out there.
1st time using this site, hope someone can help. I have been trying to determine what Greenwood, SC is like. Is if worth a visit? I see nice Lakes in the area and there seems to be a lot of future growth planned. I would like to find a vacation retreat or lake lot now for investment or later in life use.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
CurlyQ

I fish Greenwood from time to time.

The lake is a pretty good fishing lake, but not particularly scenic. It is not nearly as attractive as upstate lakes, Harwell, Keowee, Jocassee, Robinson. However, it is a bit quieter and less expensive.

I don't know much about the town itself other than it being a good drive to any "city" activity.

As much as a third of the lake is occupied by trailers and low priced houses. All the new construction I see is on larger houses.

Default Greenwood SC

Thanks for your feedback.

I have noticed new development going in there, so it may be a wait and see game. The realtors have not said much yet about the area, which is a concern. But the website boasts about its future development, so I'm not sure. I guess I just need to go see what's there.
