Can someone please tell me where the best place to go trick or treating with my 8 year old would be... We are new to the area and live in an old mill turned apartments, so the neighborhood is not the best. And once and for all, is everyone going on Saturday the 30th or Sunday the 31st?? Thanks!!

We are new ourselves but I heard Neely Farm in Simpsonville is a good place for trick-or-treating.

I live in Simpsonville live in Fairview Lake/Waterton. Our neighborhood is a good one...it's two neighborhoods! We sit behind the Ross shopping center. We are trick or treating on Sunday until 8. Neely Farm is a good neighborhood to do it in but I can't find out when they are doing it...even the neighbors don't know. Good Luck!

As a kid I always went to Inman Mills in Inman or Converse Heights in Spartanburg. Both are great neighborhoods that have a lot of houses very close together and a lot of kids... it's a very safe and fun environment for trick-or-treating. =)

I have the same question about what day to trick or treat. Every year when it falls on Sunday, we have gone trick or treating on Saturday, as has most of the people we know. The last time it fell on Sunday, we did have a few people opening their doors and wondering why we were there on Saturday. Is there some official announment on this somewhere. I have a feeling that if we wait until tomorrow, most of the other people in our area will not be participating.

Do not come to my door today and expect it to be opened. Halloween is the 31st and that is not today.

Article about this in the Greenville News today, front page. Basically, it is up to the neighborhoods.
