The first two times we went to Happy Pie in Simpsonville it was excellent( I like thin crust) but the most recent visit we were quite disappointed in both the food and service. Have heard way too many recent complaints from friends/co-workers about poor food and service.
Too bad, since I found them a great alternative to the mostly interchangeable pizza spots for Simpsonville.
I was never a Happy Pie fan. I always thought their pizza mediocre, and the prices were pretty bad. However, they did have delivery, which is always something I wish Bertolo's had. Anyway, from what I hear, Formano's on Woodruff Road makes an amazing pizza, they deliver, and I know their prices are better than Happy Pie. Therefore, even the Happy Pie location on Woodruff might have a tough time competing.

Formano's does make a good pizza. Very good crust, wish they were a little lighter on the sauce and cheese, but overall it's good. And you can't beat the prices--$10.99 for a large cheese
Happy Pie did seem rather expansive. They really had to have a top-notch pie to compete on Fairview. There are so many pizza options there already (Bellacino's, Anthony's, Wedgie's, Pizza Hut, plus Milano's and Little Caesar's just over 385). And I agree, Formano's makes a good pizza, plus they have a menu with other items. I recommend their lobster roll and onion rings, too!
