The Bible has not been "re-written" at all. Translated many times and translated into many languages, yes. This is not the place to discuss this. I could provide you huge amounts of information that the Bible is true and accurate no question about it. You should believe the Scriptures if you are truly seeking.

no issues. I have gay friends and small towns are not always as accepting but with the internet the larger areas have an underground network of clubs, resturants, recreation areas that are more worldly.

My son-in-law's brother is gay and lives in Greenville with his partner. I'm not aware of any specific problems they may have had, certainly nothing to do with employment or housing. I believe they lead a very much homebody life, just like his brother and my daughter.

Default The Bible and gays

According to Leviticus, it is ALSO an abomination to eat pork, shrimp, be served your food by a woman in her menses, have sex with her during her period, wear clothes made of multiple blends of fabrics, etc. So you idiots who want to condemn others based on obscure, misinterpreted, ancient literature need to go and put yourself to death since you have probably eaten shrimp or worn some poly blended leisure suit.

I'm not really posting my opinion on gay people but...

Is murder really as bad as gluttony? They're both the same in God's eyes. C'mon though, there's a limit for people.

No, it's not as bad. Some things people take so literally from the bible are downright silly. It's such an old book...and we don't know how drunk or high they were while writing half of the stuff in there. I'm not trying to be funny, but there was plenty of wine to go around at the time and there were both recreational and hallucinogenic drugs. Stories also become over exaggerated over time. Who knows how much stories changed before being written in the bible.

I'm not trying to put anyone down or say anyone here is wrong. Believe what you want, you're free to do so. I just think that it's ok to question some things, especially the most ridiculous of stories. If anybody walked up to me and said a guy just parted a sea and walked through I would ask them what drugs they were on...because that's absolutely crazy. If I saw that myself I would have a completely different outlook on life and I'd be in church every Sunday...but I refuse to believe certain things that are in a book that old.

Ignore above rant. I had just woke up and was hungry. Actually...if a mod would delete it that would be nice seeing as I waited too long and that option is gone now.
