see snowy joes... if you promise cold weather activities and then deliver with some actual "cold" elements to them in the south you can have a big win... This will be big over the winter downtown,

Agreed. Snowy Joes could have taken some "quality" lessons from UBS Ice on Main.

This looks like so much fun! I can't wait to take my niece & nephew. With all these improvements, I really think Greenville is on track to establish itself as the crown jewel of South Carolina, if not the entire South. Hopefully, someone will have the foresight to open up a Tim Horton's nearby to complete the experience. You can't have ice skating without hot chocolate, coffee & donuts.

We saw Snowy's Joe's from the highway. It doesn't look appealing to me at all. It's like you're tubing at a dirt track.

As someone mentioned recently, Hot Dog King will vacate their retail space across the street soon...

Agreed....but I'd like to see Top Pot doughnuts and Stumptown Coffee.

Also agreed about Snowy Joes. Great idea, with horrible execution. They really could take some marketing advice from UBS Ice on Main.

Charlotte charges $10 for their's (or did). Greenville will have no problem with the same price.

I forgot Charlotte had the outdoor ice skating. I'll have to check it out this winter when I have a free evening after meetings. So Greenville, Charlotte.....any other Southern cities you guys can think of with outdoor skating? Most of the cities I can think of outside of the Northeast are Midwest (Kansas City, Chicago, etc).
