Is the airport in greer bothersome with housing in the area? I am only going on how I see it on the map it looks very close. We are coming in this week to check out the area and need to make a decision on what area it would be best to start a businjess. Its very hard to tell just from a map. We looked at Anderson Lyman Seneca Pickens are any of these areas growing? Thanks for any replies.
I live 3 miles west from the airport as the crow flies, and rarely hear planes. Every so often I will hear one or two, but it has never been an issue. The landing pattern usually comes in over 85.
I'm not familiar with schools in Greer but there are other threads here that would help answer your question. What grade level are you interested in; all 3? I think most of the high schools in Greenville county have around 1200-1400 students; not all but most. You might want to consider looking at Spartanburg County too. The airport is in Spartanburg county just across the Greenville county line.
ive lived in greer for going on 17 years. Ive never noticed the airport noise.. i would watch out for the drag strip b4 id worry about the airport (if youre over two miles away from the strip, you'll be ok)
i also went to three greer schools, my spelling sux lol
We're the odd family that loves living near the airport. Love seeing the birds above our house; that being said we're a good 15 minutes north of it.
Same here (bit of an airlilne geek myself). We live pretty far from GSP in the Mauldin/SC-TAC area, but when the wind's from the north/northeast, most aircraft coming from the south and southwest approach right over our house. I love it (esp on the odd day that we get diversions from ATL)!
