But this was a rich, silky smooth cream cheese icing, over a perfectly moist cake. Really good. Two thumbs up!
The Greenville Daily Photo blog posted about this place yesterday. It is a European-style (primarily Swiss) bakery.

I must agree with the very favorable comments regarding the incredibly delicious carrot cake at Brick Street Café. I tried a piece at a wedding last week and then ordered one to take home. I've never tasted a better carrot cake. Their sweet potato cake is also amazing.

I agree and am glad to know they're still doing well. I remember inquiring about this place in November 2010 after I noticed an advertisement in a local publication. You may have been the first City-Data.com member to post a review here, which I never thanked you for. Thank you for sharing your experiences with everyone. Your reviews have been very helpful to me.

Awww, thanks Skyliner Right back at you for all the wonderful information you have posted as well.

I actually took a friend over to the bakery today, just happened to be int he area. She bought a oatmeal raisin cookie and thought it was wonderful. I bought a lemon square - delish! I was very surprised to see how busy they were, first time to see it like this.

There's a lot of great little places along Augusta. I love stopping and finding something new when I'm out and about. Just how I found the bakery. It's a little gem off the beaten path.
