Boiling Springs, looking for more info on town, activities, etc (Inman: car insurance, transfer)

Can anyone tell me, does Boiling Springs have special activities durring holidays? ecspecially Christmas?? What about in the summers?? July 4th etc.??
Also I've read that car insurance down there is allot cheaper and then i've read expensive because of uninsured drivers, so what is considered expensive there?
In NJ it's really high, I was hoping that it would be cut in half.??

Hello again,
I see signs up on the main hwy for different fairs and get together that the local Church's put on for the different times of the year. I am disabled so have not been able to check any of them out myself. In our subdivision they had a gathering for Christmas with cider and cookies. There is a place called Holly wild that has a Christmas display. They are like a zoo that is for animal that have been retired from the movie business. They are in Inman which is just a few miles away.
As for insurance I have a 2005 Ford F 150 super cab 4X4 full coverage and a 1970 Mustang just liability and pay $767.00 a year. The only thing different about the cars here is that you have to pay personal property tax every year on cars, trucks & boats. I think it works out to about the same as it was when I paid in Ca, there they call it DMV fees.

Hi Scott,

That doesn't sound so bad, Do you know what percent they charge on the value of the vehicle. I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata, I would say a value of $13M. Now when you move down there do you have to take a driving test to transfer your license?

As long as you have a valid drivers Lic from another state all they do is a vision test take your picture and hand you your SC lic on the spot. The tax here is a web page that tells you more.
