Manufacturing companies/ warehouses that hire felons
Long story short, I got a DUI 2 years ago. I've cleaned up my act and have been sober for 2 years. I'm looking to move and start a new life and hopefully get a job at maybe BMW, Michelin or one or the larger companies there. I need to make a living and I definately need to work for a place that offers health benefits.
Has anybody had experience with any companies around or does anybody know if they even will hire a felon.
Many companies across the state will not hire convicted felons. If you got a felony DUI at least be up front about it considering the time which has passed.
As an aside, one other non-starter with a lot of companies are assault convictions, particularly felony assault. Here it's called "criminal domestic violence", or CDV, and many companies will not hire folks with such convictions.
Good luck in your job search. Keep in mind there are many contract manufacturers in the area worth working for, too, in fact depending upon your skills set(s) may be more worth it than some of the big boys.
