I can't believe how Simpsonville has grown (Greenville, Mauldin: home, transfer)

When my uncle was transferred from his department store in Augusta to one in Greenville in the mid 80's, they moved to Simpsonville. It was a very small town back then, just 2-lane roads. The last time I was there was 15 years ago for a senior night to see my cousin cheer for Hillcrest against Mauldin. I recently visited for a wedding. My oh my at how that place has grown.

Yep, it's become one of Greenville's bedroom communities so to speak. Thankfully, it still has lovely old neighborhoods and a cute downtown area with a growing number of shops & restaurants, but its suburban side has really exploded in the last 12 years or so.

Still love my home town of Simpleville. Come back and stay longer.
