I would think the draw of the new WNM would draw other retailers in to that center, or at least I hope it will. If the old drugstore is vacant, I could see a place like Tuesday Morning in that spot.
Didn't notice but is that used car lot still in the front? Looks like they could move The Substation into that old drug store spot and there would be room for a couple of outparcels with new restaurants/retail on the front. With Belk and Walmart in that center one would think that land on the front (car lot, subshop) would command a lot more rent now from some big chains.

I remember The Palmetto Bank relocating into a new structure next door and the old location became a used car lot, something that is unnecessary with the direction Greer Plaza is going in redeveloping itself.
The former Eckerd is about 8,000 square feet. It would be plenty of room for Sub Station II to use, but it would take away its freestanding format with drive through service.
Grand Foodstuffs on 101 has already been sold; that is a very prime location. On a related note, they have already marked the widening of 290/Locust Hill and the rerouting of the intersection of 101/290; this is gonna be a HUGE project.
Are there any maps or plans available showing the design? I cannot wait for an improved North Buncombe Road/O'Neal Road/Locust Hill Road/SC-101 North corridor.
Any word on who bought the former Grand Foodstuff?

I don't know where one would be able to find those, but judging by the markers, the widening is going to be very extensive; looking at Scotts body shop, they're removing half of his front property. Don't know who bought Grand Foodstuffs either, but that property sold really quick.

The first link is for widening North Buncombe Road/O'Neal Road (SC-101/SC-290) from West Wade Hampton Boulevard (US-29) to Locust Hill Road (SC-290).
The second link is for improving the junction of SC-253 and SC-290. Mountain View Road (SC-253) will be realigned west to meet with Locust Hill Road and Pine Log Ford Road at a signalized intersection. A turn lane will be added onto Locust Hill Road to its intersection with Sandy Flat Road (SC-253). No word yet if Locust Hill Road and Sandy Flat Road will become a signalized intersection.
I see someone appears to be dismanteling one of the former D&D Ford sites on Wade Hampton, the one of three that's the most east. Any idea if it was sold to anyone, and possibly a company may be building on that site?
