So we finally found and closed on our house last week...a beautiful home in the Jameson Place subdivision in Powdersville. Only drawback is having to pay for private trash pick-up...all 4 of us have our own cars that we paid Greenville Co. tax on - and of course trash was a fairly part of that bill. So basically I have 2 questions: do we retag our cars in Anderson Co? If so, would we receive a refund from Greenville for months not lived there? Or is it not worth the hassle - just wait to transfer when the bills come due again?

Thanks!

not sure about the cars, but All Waste is good for trash. Reasonably priced and nice people. Welcome to Anderson Co.

i second the all waste. I would call gville co and ask if you will get a refund. I think you have 10 days until you have to change id and tags

Congrats on the new house! I would imagine there's an FAQ section of the DMV's website to answer your question about car tags/registration. SC Department of Motor Vehicles

Good luck!

Thanks for the input...I tried weeding through the DMV website, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for...lots of info for moving from another state, not so much for county.
