I found a great photo of downtown G'ville that I use as my screensaver, but it is obviously an older one...pre-Reedy Park bridge and west end developement. Is anyone aware of a more recent photo of the city. I love the way you can see all the way to the mountains across the skyline.

I think I know which picture you're talking about! But yes, that is an old one...check out Rested Traveler's flickr site, he has a lot of pictures of Greenville and may have something. (he's a member on this site) May not be aerial photos, but they're good ones anyways.

Nice ones there! But they titled the West End Field as Greenville Municipal Stadium, haha.

Sorry - I don't have any arial photos of Greenville, but if anyone is willing to get me up in a plane or helicopter over downtown, I'll be glad to snap some! :-)

Bill Cobb from KC does have some excellent ones on the Urban-Photos.com site. I'm sure he'll correct the title of that West End Field photo if you contact him and let him know about the oversight.

Not sure if you seen this website yet, but try out:

maps.live.com

Type in Greenville, SC in the search....then activate the 'Birds Eye' view.

These are some pretty clear images and you can rotate the oreintation using the curved arrows on the left. This website is similar to Google maps, but much clearer when using the birds eye. Be careful---you can waste several hours on this site checking all your friends houses to see if they are out cutting the grass.
